Well, they've done it again! After the huge success of the Mk3 kit, the guys at Skuzzle Motorsport have worked hard to design and manufacture this incredible quality TorqIntake kit for the Mk4! Many hours of research, testing and development have gone into this system to produce a product which Skuzzle Motorsport are proud to put their name to. Not only is it one of the first of it's kind on the market today, but also one that has been 100% designed on the dyno giving proven power gains (please see the dyno results on the last large photo).
The Skuzzle TorqIntake was built around the science of pulse waves. As pulses are generated inside the intake system, the length of the Skuzzle TorqIntake has been precisely tuned so the pulse is reflected back into the engine and amplified pushing a higher pressure of air into the cylinder, drastically improving midrange torque.
The science doesn't end there either. The Skuzzle TorqIntake also makes use of 2 venturi effects. The pipe diameter is altered in 2 strategic places along the Skuzzle TorqIntake to maximise air velocity at higher rpm. This allows the Skuzzle TorqIntake to boast impressive gains to top end horsepower too, nearly 10bhp at 7000rpm.Finally we have a velocity stack built into the high flow air filter. The idea of a velocity stack is to premote laminar flow (where the air enters the induction pipe smoothly and adheres to the intake pipe walls to reduce turbulence at high rpm).
Featuring a hand welded aluminium intake tube, top quality Ramair filter and all the required fittings, this kit is incredibly easy to fit and the result in additional power, throttle response and intake noise is astounding.
