Aluminium Pedal Set IL Motorsport MX5 Mk4 Reviews

4.8 Rating 16 Reviews
Read MX5parts Reviews

After the massive success of the Mk1, 2 & 3 kits, we are really pleased to now be able to offer these fantastic quality pedal cover sets for the Mk4! The kit consists of a footrest, and three pedal covers made from aluminium in a brushed finish with an anti slip top. These have been designed to be as close to the original size as possible, making them far easier to use than the usual "over sized" aftermarket pedal sets. They come nicely packaged with all the required fixings. They are available for both right and left hand drive cars, so please select which ones you need from the drop down box.
Fits all Mk4 models, 2015> including the new RF model, with manual transmission only.

Very pleased with this product,as usual from this excellent company, purchased after reading very helpful reviews which i agree with mostly except to add it is quite easy to slice your fingers open while fitting on the razor sharp edges of the thin alloy pedals.(Like i did!).

First off this set was fitted to my 124 spider as this uses the same platform as the ND . The quality is first class and looks stunning . Very reasonable price Fiat want over £100 for a inferior product.Fitting , Read on the 124 forum that they can be tricky to fit . I ended up sliding the metal cover off the rubber pad , brake/clutch rubbers in to some hot water to soften . Bit of washing up liquid on to the pedal and then slide the metal back on ...Simples...

Relatively easy to fit, use a couple of clamps on the accelerator to hold in place when drilling pilot holes for screws. Look nice when done.

some more quality parts fitting is easy but a small tip the two small peddle fitments can be tough to fit once you've removed the stock ones so get a container of hot water and place them in for a few mins the rubber fitments will be easier to stretch over the metal fitments......

Really pleased with the look and quality of these pedals. The brake and clutch items replace the originals whilst the foot rest and accelerator items are screwed over the original plastic items. As documented in other reviews, there are no instructions and those contained in ILM website are actually for a NC model. I found that fitting the brake and clutch items was easiest achieved by removing the aluminium covers (prising the two tabs carefully away by a couple of mm) and the rubber could then be simply fitted to the pedal assembly before refitting the aluminium covers and bending down the tabs again. As to the the remaining items, I used a 2mm drill rather than 3/4.5mm mentioned in the on-line instructions. They look fantastic but only time will tell how the aluminium will stand up to wear and scratching.

Easy to fit. Instructions not included, but can be found on IL motorsports website (search for "pedals")https://www.ilmotorsport.de/shop/get_documents.php5?docID=6391&art_no=ND0-0146&PHPSESSID=2feeefb009b2f27db653c57ace10ff9dI had to bend the lower brake/clutch pedal tabs out of the way to get the rubber on, then bent the tabs back once fitted.Accel/footrest seemed a bit flimsy but they sit on top of the original pedals so are fine once fitted.

Fantásticos. Muy fáciles de poner y quedan realmente bien. el único pero que las instrucciones solo vienen en alemán.

I chose these aluminium pedals because in my opinion they look better than the genuine Mazda set and are considerably cheaper. There are no fitting instructions included. I struggled for some time to fit the clutch and brake pedals, eventually bending back the tags on the aluminium piece and removing it, after which the rubber was relatively easy to fit and then I replaced the aluminium and bent the tags back. The accelerator and footrest items are screwed on to the original plastic. While the accelerator pedal was straightforward, the footrest is screwed into very thin plastic and both holes stripped with only light pressure. Larger screws or double sided tape would be better here. Overall I am happy with the end result but would have liked to see instructions and hints included.
