“Bought both parts of this grille. Looks nice, along with front fog light chromed covers. Bit of a pig to fit and doesn't fit perfectly as you are restricted by the honeycombed original grille, as to where you can position the hooks at either side. Ended up with lacerated fingers after finding it difficult to position. It was secured by the central lower clip and by being behing reg plate plinth but I was unable to hook the two side hooks behind the original grill. The sides don't fit flush, which is disappointing. Like others, I secured the sides with cable ties. So it doesn't 'fit perfectly' as stated.”

“Got this fab grille from my wife for Christmas took no time to fit it onto original black plastic grille , word of advice once in position double check as this fits exactly over plastic one before pushing into holes on grille. Looks amazing I fitted it with lower grille together they really make the front look stylish and more sporty , very classy as usual fab service from mx5 parts , happy 5 driver just saving for my leather seats now and my Nc will be complete”

“WOW!! Superb quality piece of trim. I fitted the polished grille to my black MX5 and it has TRANSFORMED the front of my MX5 it really does make the car look more stylish it should of been fitted as standard. MX5 parts make some outstanding trim and accessories. The grille is expensive but it's well worth every penny and when fitted looks factory fit. The steel grille is beautifully made/engineered and the detail is fantastic. I also bought the lower polished grille which looks amazing with the main grille - I think you definitely need both grilles. I would say this is a must have piece for any MX5 owner. Go and get one because you will not be disappointed. Five stars, brilliant!! Thank you MX5 parts.Andy”

“fitted this onto my mx5 and it really has made the front end look so much better , an easy fit within 20 mins.I did use a cable tie behind the nuber plate just to make sure it stayed put . And beware of sharp edges they do bite and scratch the paintwork if you dont use masking tape”

“I already had a lockwood grille but didn't like the thick border and the allen bolts showing so got one of these. The fitting is easier but it doesn't feel that secure so I ended up using the bolts from the lockwood only I hid them out of sight just below the number plate. Looks much better than the lockwood version but a bit pricey for what it is.”

“Purchased these, along with the chrome fog lamp surrounds, for my MK3 Sport. Not as easy to fix as some have suggested, but maybe it was just me? Was unsure if I had to adjust the two L shape clips to get a tight fit, but whatever I did, the grille still had some movement. Watch your fingers when fitting it as the edges are sharp and you end up with small cuts. Thought the fit was not as flush or tight as I wanted, so I used two self tapping screws either end of the grille to give a more secure fit. The black honeymesh standard grille is solid in some areas and allows for the self tappers. Just make sure the head of the screw will hold chrome the mesh in place and the screw is not too long. Looks excellent on! Good service from MX5 parts.”

“Esta rejilla cambia por completo el aspecto de la parte delantera del coche. Le da un aspecto retro muy bonito y por un precio razonable. La instalación es sencilla y queda sólidamente recogida en la rejilla de plástico del Mx5. Yo por si acaso le he puesto un par de bridas de nilon en la parte de abajo de la matrícula...”
