Painted Door Mirror Set For this unbeatable price, you get a set of two mirrors, ready painted in the correct colour. Unlike the OE mirrors, the internal parts in these kits are made with stainless parts for a much longer life. Supplied complete with a replacement mirror foot gasket. Only the colours listed below are available. If your colour is not listed, use our 'Ready to Paint' set, or a Mazda original mirror.Fits all Mk1 models, 1989>1998 with manual mirrors.Please note: A small number of very early cars only had a small locator hole cut in the door. These mirrors are designed to fit the majority of vehicles that had a larger hole. To fit to an early car, simply either elongate the hole in the door, or remove the cresent shape locator peg on the base of the mirror with a small file.

I was a bit worried I would have a problem fitting them as had read some previous reviews , but from start to finish it took me 10 minutes. They look lovely and have restored my cars good looks !! “As others suggest, there was some filing to do.My car door has a locating hole, half way between the 2 screw holes for the mirror. The mirrors that came off had a pointed peg, of I guess 5mm diameter. Now, the mirrors that were supplied indeed have the same peg, but surrounded my a crescent of raised metal the same height as the peg, maybe 10mm tip to tip.So, if your car door has a locator hole that would take a 5mm peg with a bit of play, you'll need to buy a small metal file and some elbow grease. Anything bigger, it might be made to take the peg/cresent arrangement. Perhaps someone can confirm whether the supplied peg/crescent is for a mk2 or mk3???I've ordered before from MX5 Parts and always been happy with the service, especially the quick delivery, but this is disappointing. My MX is my main form of transport, so when the wing mirror dropped off, quick delivery was essential... making a botch job of fitting a brand new component wasn't!Also, they don't come with replacement bolts, so if yours are rusty or corroded, don't expect replacements.”

“Great service from MX5 Parts as usual, but... I had the same problem as others in that the mounts would not fit on to the doors due to the pins being wrong. I re-used the old ones which wasn't ideal as they were corroded. Also, the view in the mirrors doesn't seem to be quite as clear as the originals, it give a very slight magnified/ distorted image!”
