“I had been given some top covers off another mk1, but found they didn't fit. I ordered these with a bit of trepidation, but need not have worried as they fit perfectly!!!”

“April 2023. Part number SI2438 was a perfect match for the original part installed on my late 1994 Australian delivered MX5 (NA8) with seat-mounted seatbelt receivers.”

“I believe those who say they've had no problem fitting these (and those who say they have!). The reason I (and perhaps others) did is that my roll bar ('style bar'), in coming down at an angle onto its fitting adjacent to the belt head, means the inside clip of the new cover doesn't engage and, indeed, is forced further out of alignment, loosening further the cover, as the seatbelt turns on it's central nut. Be interested to know if someone with a style bar has made it work...”

“Further to my last review, I have found a cover elsewhere that fits - it is part number N0265763100 for a 1993-1998 Mk1. The MX5 Parts cover that didn't fit was part no NA0157631B00 described on their website as for a 1989-1994 Mk1 with seat belt stalks attached to floor (rather than seat). I ordered this from MX5 Parts because my 1994 Eunos RS Ltd has seat belt stalks attached to the floor. I suspect now I should have ignored the seat belt stalk guidance and gone for the 1993-1998 cover from MX5 parts.”
