“I was really pleased at the feel and quality of this gearknob. I had already recently bought a leather gearknob from a Motorfactors but it didn't feel 'right' as the shape wasn't great and it wasn't too light. When I bought this one though it felt great straight away and it's a pleasure changing gears now. As others have said, it's perfectly weighted, and the quality is fantastic. It is far better than the standard plastic one on NA MX5's.”

“A very quick delivery and good communications throughout, First purchase from MX5parts for a 1998 1600 MK1 MX5 purchased on Sat 06.01.2010Replacing an Aluminium one fitted, this is much better looking and matches completly with the existing trim.It was heavier than I thought it would be, and is a quality item. No problems at all fitting.Can recommend this to anyone looking to tidy up an old fitment or repacing a cold metal item”

“Lovely size and weight, and blessed with a genuine quality feel. Only gripe is that the act of screwing it on requires the gaiter to be kept inside the turning base of the knob, and this can lead to seriously twisted knickers for your gaiter. Unscrewing slightly helps release the tension, allowing you to then tighten the knob up some more. Also, I'll add that it's definitely BLACK, not the grey that it looks in the picture! Matches perfectly with the black leather gaiter that MX5parts sell.”
