Absolute rubbish and waste of money, thin, flimbsy. Did not fit right, scratched paint work trying to get it in, bottom fixing snapped off.

Fairly lightweight and rudimentary but a nice looking grill. The one thing I don't like is the top fitting brackets which are very flimsy with a hook over (the top of the grill) affair that doesn't have enough space between the front turn down and the back piece so, doesn't clamp the grill well. Otherwise, very easy to fit in about 20 minutes once you download the English fitting instructions to replace the German sheet that comes with it. On reflection though, the price isn't bad at £90 delivered when you consider that my Aston Martin mesh grill costs £350! The reason I bought this one was that it has no branding on it, thus keeping the look of the car as clean as possible and, because I haven't got a clue what the ZunSport or Lockwood mesh's are like. Otherwise, a pretty valuable piece of kit to protect your radiator against damage from stray stones and road debris ...

Grille transforms the look of the car - very happy every time I see it. Terrible instructions though - Deutsch only, with hopelessly printed, badly lit photos. If you're fitting one of these: 1) attach the two loose brackets first, by the bolt hole furthest from the clip position. These secure the top of the grille, near the towing eye holes. 2) Bend the fixed tab down and attach the bottom midpoint of the grille, with the top of the grille tipped forward and out. 3) Use a flat screwdriver to push and then lever the grille into place on its brackets. Done!

The grid that I received is not the same that you see in the picture. I had to make a change to mount it ... it was tiring. In the box it said that it was for Mk2, but is slightly larger and is a little outside the mouth.I would have rather liked it identical to what you see in the picture ...

Wrong part sent, so cost and hassel to return it. Photos on fitting instructions are very poor-much better on the MX5 Parts website. Fitting without instructions took about half an hour (I could fit another in about 10 minutes). Now it is on it looks the part, but close up the fit is not so good and for the money it was not very well finished. Next time I would spend a little more for a better part.

Looks great once fitted - a real classy vintage look. Fitting as previously reviewed by others it is a little tricky (especially with the German instructions!!!!!!!) but following the universal language of pictures it took little over 30 mins.
