“The Personalised Junior Carpenter set was exactly what I was looking for. 42 years ago I bought two such carpenter sets for my son and his cousin and they just loved them. They were substantial sets and the boys had years of enjoyment from them and indeed the brothers who came after them too. Now my son has an 8 year old son and I began a search for a carpentry set such as the previous one. Well, I believe that having received my order that the set of 42 years ago and the one I just bought are the same item, a little updated, but still of the same quality, which is often not the case in this throw-away world of today. I cannot wait to give this gift to my grandson and to see his father's face when he sees his much loved possession replicated for his son. Thank you.”

“Really does look like the real thing, only smaller. Good quality, too. Birthday present for 5-year-old grandson who wants to be a builder when he grows up (website says for over-8s, but kit itself says 5+; either way obviously will need supervision as it is all so useable)”

“Disappointed. I noticed that ‘the tools were blunted’ after buying - yes they are, and as such are completely useless. I was keen for my daughter to get to grips with wood work and having cutting tools is a prerequisite. Also the internal partitions slide down and fall apart when opening the tools out to access. Also the extra Allen keys and spanner’s are just loose in a bag at the bottom. It looks nice, but not really functional.”
