“This item is for our 7 year old granddaughter, who is innately curious about everything in the world and the heavens. It's a little smaller than I imagined, but well made. My main criticism about this item is that it does not contain the necessary batteries!! Trying to explain to any child that they can't use a Christmas present because it doesn't have any batteries and the shops aren't open to be able to buy any on Christmas Day rather defeats the object of giving the present in the first place! Mulberry Bush says: thanks for your review of the Globe 2-in-1. We certainly appreciate that it is best with batteries (or the adapter) and as such the product full description on our website and in our catalogue makes this clear. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, most manufacturers of toys (or other products for that matter) are sold without batteries. Hopefully as it is still early December you'll be able to get some batteries in advance of Christmas Day.”
