“our grandson enjoyed playing with it but they haven't got carpet on their stairs yet so it was a bit slippery sometimes. It will be better when the carpet is down.”

Sorry you are disappointed with the metal springy. There is certainly a knack to getting this to work, as other reviewers have commented. It is worth persevering with though as it's great fun!
