About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

I absolutely love these! I am autistic and have sensory processing disorder and that can make periods really difficult to cope with and I struggle to use disposable products because of the way they feel so these period pants are a life saver for me. I like that the feel of them is the same as most other underwear I use so during the week of my period the feel of my underwear stays the same rather than having to have an uncomfortable pad that makes my whole body feel different. The material of these pants are really high quality and feel amazing on the skin as they are so soft and have partially encased seams and no tags! I know tags can be a a huge issue for some autistic people so these are perfect as they don't have any tags. The absorbent pad part is about 20cm long but it doesn't go all the way up the back of the pants so if you have a heavier flow or want to sleep in these then you might want to look for a different pair as I'd say these are only for daytime where if you have a heavy flow you can change them in 6-8 hours. These pants are so so comfy too, I only like high waisted and these are really nice and high waisted and don't roll down. They are very absorbent and you can't see the blood when it is absorbed which I like. Some people might find it hard to change their underwear a couple of times a day too so if that is difficult I wouldn't recommend these for those people. Once you take them off, you need to rinse them in the sink with water to remove all of the blood out of the pants, you have to rinse them until the water runs clear and then put them in the washing machine on a gentle wash. I like the sustainability of these products too as it means less plastic and less waste is produced and yes they are pricey initially however they can be used for many years so overtime will save you money. I have tried many different brands and types of period pants but the feel of these are my favourite. I will definitely be buying more of these. I really recommend these especially for autistic people if regular disposable products cause sensory issues these may be worth a try!

Great at night as pads and tampons tend to irritate me. These are comfortable, absorbent, and feel much easier to wear. A really good alternative and simple to wash and reuse.
