This is the 5th time I have ordered from Modifit. Up until now, I have been nothing but absolutely delighted with the items that I have received. However, that has not been the case with this lever belt. The leather part of the belt itself is very well made and up to their usual standard. But the lever is not, the 2 fixing screws were corroded and had different size heads, necessitating the use of two different screwdrivers to fit, after I had removed the corrosion from the screw heads. The lever mechanism appears to be plated, but has significant areas where the plating has lifted and bubbled. I contacted the company and was told that the lever was a sub contract supplied item that was already packaged. My view is that I bought the item from Modifit and it is their responsibility to ensure that the whole of the product meets their expectations, so that the customer is not disappointed. As a result, I have bought a Pioneer lever to replace the Modifit one. This will be my last purchase from Modifit...please quality check the whole of an order before it leaves, you are responsible for all of it, including the condition of sub contracted parts.

Hi Paul I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied with the belt. When you contacted us about the lever you sent an image which showed the 2 screws that had philips heads with different size crosses and a second image which didn't show anything discernable. I sent the following message in reply later that day, but we've never received a response from you: "Hi Paul Thanks for your message. Sorry to hear that you’re not happy with the lever. As you alluded to the levers are pre-packed straight from the supplier so I didn’t see it before it got to you. I’m not really sure why they use 2 different threads, that’s bit strange. Did they function ok? I couldn’t see a lot on the second image - do you have another image you can show me of the problems? Best Regards Stuart" I'm sorry we were not able to resolve this for you, i'm sure we could have done so.
