“Having bought Meg Rivers Simnel cakes previously from Ocado I knew it would be good. However, this last one purchased direct from the bakery was exceptional - very moist with just the right amount of fruit and spice with delicious, not too sweet, marzipan.

“Exceptional! I bought this cake as an Easter gift for my partner as she loves marzipan. She loves it. She says the marzipan is particularly good, which means it must be very good as she’s a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to marzipan. The cake itself is superb. I’m not such a big fruit cake man myself but this cake is absolutely delicious, 10 out of 10. The tin is also a lovely keepsake, a lovely sage colour. It also arrived promptly. What more can I say?
