“Delicious! What more can I say. Lovely moist cake with lots of hazelnuts. Flavour is just right it's not sickly or overpowering. Great with a cup of coffee.”
“We love Meg Rivers cakes but this wasn't our favourite. It was a pleasant cake but for us it wasn't special. The texture was good with hint of chocolate flavour. The crunchy nut topping was nice.”

“Nice cake but something of a diappointment I'm afraid. I have bought cakes from Meg Rivers before and all but one of them have been divinely good (excepting the ginger cake which contained ginger ale and crunchy ginger on top and did not have a good flavour), so the fact that this one was nice but not heavenly was dispiriting. If I were not used to their usual fabulous creations I would have found this one to be solidly good. The best ever is the sticky ginger cake which sadly seems to be a limited edition. A pity because it is a thousand times better than the ginger cake which seems to be always available, but is rather second rate. The cherry, and the lemon cakes are fabulous.”
“Best cake we have eaten this year! Nutty, chocolatey and a nice moist crumb. Can't say if it would last because it was so good we (6) ate it all in one go! Had it for dessert with some fresh raspberries and a trickle of double cream. Delicious! Thanks”
