Build Your Own Ukulele - DIY Ukulele Kit

The ukulele is the perfect lightweight, compact, portable instrument - ideal for travel and perfect for musicians of any age and ability.
Of course, anyone can buy a ukulele, but imagine how satisfying it would be to build one of your very own! Creating music with an instrument that you built with your own two hands.
It’s a creative process that I’ve been lucky to enjoy for many years now, and one that I would like to share with everyone. That’s why we’ve put together everything you need to make your very own soprano ukulele in our DIY Ukulele Kit.
Don’t worry, we’ve taken the liberty of completing some of the more difficult steps on your behalf, to make the process a little easier.
Each pack includes:
wooden body and neck (unstained and unvarnished)
rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay
bridge x1
saddle x1
nut x1
tuning pegs x4
screws and screw covers
fixing rings
strings
pearl inlay decal sticker

This kit is AMAZING. I got it in the mail yesterday and assembled it in my kitchen in under an hour using only a small screwdriver, ruler and pencil for measuring and marking, and superglue. I think you’re supposed to use woodglue but my carpenter friend advised me that lots of superglue would work fine and it has. I did spent a further hour doing the finishing touches as I like them - setting it up, sanding and finishing the wood and if you wanted to you could spend hours painting it before assembling but I just wanted a soprano ukulele that’s simple and sounds great and honestly, the best thing is that this sounds better than any of the ukuleles in my local shop under £150 - I’m serious. Because it came out so well I changed the strings to Aquila Nylgut, which really elevated it further and I would recommend ordering those strings when you buy this kit and putting them on instead of the strings that come with it. Basically buy this if you want a great instrument that you’ve put together yourself, for less than 1/3 of the price of an equivalent quality off-the-shelf, if you don’t have many tools but you ARE confident gluing the fingerboard and the bridge in the right place because that is what makes or breaks this build.

Fantastic, Kimwei, sounds like a very successful outcome. We're very proud of the quality of our Ukulele DIY kits. It's amazing how constructing an instrument yourself can really enrich the music-making experience. Super review, thank you!

Value for money Hasn’t been assembled yet but looks good, it’s something different and good value for money. I would recommend it for anyone thinking of giving something different to someone who’s interested in musical instruments.
