“This kit is AMAZING. I got it in the mail yesterday and assembled it in my kitchen in under an hour using only a small screwdriver, ruler and pencil for measuring and marking, and superglue. I think you’re supposed to use woodglue but my carpenter friend advised me that lots of superglue would work fine and it has. I did spent a further hour doing the finishing touches as I like them - setting it up, sanding and finishing the wood and if you wanted to you could spend hours painting it before assembling but I just wanted a soprano ukulele that’s simple and sounds great and honestly, the best thing is that this sounds better than any of the ukuleles in my local shop under £150 - I’m serious. Because it came out so well I changed the strings to Aquila Nylgut, which really elevated it further and I would recommend ordering those strings when you buy this kit and putting them on instead of the strings that come with it. Basically buy this if you want a great instrument that you’ve put together yourself, for less than 1/3 of the price of an equivalent quality off-the-shelf, if you don’t have many tools but you ARE confident gluing the fingerboard and the bridge in the right place because that is what makes or breaks this build.”
