Beautiful piece for a fair price - this is actually meant as mostly a stage prop for us, but we do use it as intended and it's been great - we get lots of compliments for it! Great buy.

The actual microphone is flexible and easy to use, as far as I know, it seems to produce a good sound, accurate to what I play... I have niggles, though, BIG niggles. The first is that there are only two clips supplied, and they're a sticky on type. Surely a clip/clamp/removable sticky type could be developed? Perhaps using those sticky pads they use to hang painting and stuff on walls for easy removal without damage? Or maybe the ability to have more clips as spares in case of breakage or many drums? The second is that the belt clip is fiddly and the thin metal edges are sharp as a knife: I cut my thumb badly while mucking about trying to clip it somewhere - anywhere - it wouldn't fall off! My final thought on it is that while it would incur extra cost, surely the battery box could be upgraded into a wireless transmitter? I was stuck in the corner of my last gig, close to the desk. NOW, I'm NOT 'complaining' or being negative for the sake of it - I like the thing and consider it good value; however, these are just issues I'll work around (like using an extension). So, here's to Version 2 addressing these things!

Great product! Came faster than expected and has simplified the sound setup for my brother and I. The mic picks up the subtleties of the drum and doesn't feed back like a normal instrument mic.

Great stuff, Daniel! Happy to hear it's working so well for you - it is indeed great for picking out the subtleties of the various tones the bodhrán produces.

Great wee mic This is the second mic I have bought for my two bodhrans. I got fed up shifting the mic between my instruments so as I was so satisfied with my first purchase that I purchased this second and I’m very pleased.
