“Lovely beaters BUT not what I ordered! Sadly I did not receive the set as advertised and 2 of the more expensive beaters that I particularly wanted had been substituted with inferior beaters. I was not contacted to see what I’d like to do - accept at a lower price or refund. Delivery was slow and once received I was very disappointed. I stupidly thought “whilst stocks last” would mean that the beater sets were already made up in packs and would be available until they ran out. Connor at McNeela was sympathetic and I was sent a partial refund but honestly I would not have ordered the set at all if I’d known. McNeela need to have their “sets” made up ready to my mind or definitely contact customer first before proceeding with order if they run out of beaters within the set. All communications with Connor have however been excellent. So I guess if you’re thinking of ordering check with him first before putting in an online purchase to avoid disappointment!? And the quality of the beaters received is lovely.”

Hi Colin, the Whipper Tipper is our most challenging beater to get to grips with. It was actually inspired by bodhrán legend, Rónán Ó Snodaigh. Once you master it you will love the effect it produces!

“Now I have a set for each drum 2 years ago I bought similar set from McNeela. Loved them but kept switching my “favorites tippers” from one Bodhran to the other . I finally got a second similar set so I can have what I need/like in each case. Quick shipping and great quality. No regrets.”
