The book I purchased seemed a little advanced for me b/c I never played an instrument or read music. Trying to get my hands to play the notes! This will be a challenge. I love the concertina. I tried to sign up for lessons but the site wouldn't let me;(

I love this book. I don't always have internet access for the video lessons, so this book allows me to keep learning. It's also a different way to learn. The videos help me to hear the notes, but the book is 100% pressure-free. It's static, so I don't have to back it up or feel like I have to keep up, and I can take it everywhere. I keep forgetting where the notes are (brain injury), so the fingering chart in the book is very helpful. I made a copy of it to keep it in front of me as I play. The video helps you to learn the numbering of the keys (first row, second key), and the book has the numbers below each note with a push/pull shading in case you forget. I'm glad I didn't rely on the videos without the book, and I didn't rely on the book without the videos.

It's a good book for beginners and the layout of the concertina with the notes marked is invaluable.
