“Love this whistle I started playing whistle recently, pinching my youngster's cheap & cheerful whistle that he'd had at school. I started online lessons with a teacher I know, and I realised the cheap whistle was sharp and couldn't tune it. After a lot of research I bought a Killarney Nickel D. Compared to the whistle I had before, this has such a sweet tone, and is so much more controllable, especially in the upper register. It's also in tune with itself across each register, and the tuneable range is good. It even sounds good in the third register, if I put enough effort in! It feels solid in the hands, and well balanced. Oh, it looks beautiful too. As an ex-engineer, I really appreciate the quality of manufacture and finish. The pouch that comes with it is well made and protects it nicely. If I ever need another whistle, I'd go straight for this brand!”
