“Killarney D whistle I returned the whistle because the lowest note was not sounding clear, rather fuzzy in fact. My Clark sweetone has a perfectly clear bottom note when I compared the two whistles, so the Killarney had to be sent back.”

“Not what I was hoping for I read and watched a lot of reviews before purchasing the Killarney D and was recommended it by a few players, so I was hoping this would be the whistle I could use for a long time to come. Unfortunately the whistle is not a good fit for me. The action is not very clean of fast and it clogs very quickly. I can't play a set in entirety without having to stop to clean it out (and this isn't an issue I have with any of the other five D whistles I own). It is relatively quiet, as the diameter of the whistle is noticeably thinner than other D whistles I have (Dixons, Feadog's etc). It falls in and out of key very quickly and although the tone is sweet, although a little shrill at the top end. Unfortunately I'm really disappointed with this whistle, my confidence in playing has gone down with this whistle and I've given it a good 3-4 weeks of consistent playing. Perhaps I will grow into it, but at this point, I'd be happy to sell it on as I don't see myself playing it well any time soon.”
