I recently purchased the Killarney D whistle for my granddaughter. She started on a beginner whistle and is very happy with the new purchase, it sounds so much better than her old one. Very pleased with this purchase.

Looks and feels great like what I would expect for a more expensive whistle! Nice clear, crisp sound and requires little airflow. Took some time getting used to how light you need to blow, but now I don't even think about it, I just enjoy the sound.

In every way this is a good whistle, however, after over 15 years of playing a Sindt I'll stick with my Sindt, but hang into this Killarney and give it as a great gift to another aspiring young whistle player. One of the best whistles I have ever played, at a very reasonable price!

It's a great whistle, the Killarney nickel in D. I have put aside my other D whistles in favor of this. Inexperienced as I am at playing whistles, I use it when I play in the band Lochnagar. I need to have an authentic sound when I do Irish and Scottish music. Although people like it when I play it, I definitely need a teacher. I get very good comments about the sound of the whistle and how it fits in well with small number of songs we use it in. I thoroughly recommend it.
