Sam Murray and his son Sean are celebrated the world over for the quality and craftsmanship of the superior Murray flutes. This premium African Blackwood traditional three-keyed flute is fitted with three sterling silver keys: F♮, G# and C♮.
The tone is powerful but also beautifully balanced and sweet with that all-important strong low D and its light weight makes it a delight to handle.

Made from rare African Blackwood, a fine and dense wood, and finished with sterling silver rings and keys, its high-end finish complements its superb sound. With loads of volume it's ideal in a fast session, the three keys taking you comfortably through most traditional Irish music.
The embouchure is such that the flute is easy to fill and keep filled, promoting an ease of sustained play without exhausting your lungs.

“I just received my Sam Murray 3 keyed flute. Such a beautiful sound. Easy transition between octaves. Strong low octave. Easy to keep pitch. It was packed very well for its overseas journey to Canada. I am going to enjoy learning this Irish flute!”

“I received a beautiful Sam Murray three keyed flute a few weeks ago , 7 weeks after the order was submitted. It’s an absolutely gorgeous flute. It is easy to fill, produces a beautiful rich tone and a big sound. It is so superior to my other non-keyed flute that I cannot believe it. It has perfect pitch in all notes and especially surprising is the rich low D and E. I cannot be more pleased.
