After visiting the country of Ireland last fall and becoming very attached the Irish music, nothing to do bit began colllecting some of the original Irish instruments. The "tin whistle" was the first and ordering from Mcneela was breeze. However prior to the shipment arriving someone helped themselves to an early Christmas gift. “Needing a step up whistle from my old Generation, I happened upon Mr. McNeela playing the Dixon heavy brass whistle on you tube. I play classical flute, as well, and have always played heavy-walled flutes. The greater weight of the wall gives more resistance and you can blow them harder and get a bigger sound. So the heavy brass whistle intrigued me. Then I remembered how much I love the beautiful, ringing ting of my brass bicycle bell and I thought how great it would be to have a whistle that had some of that sound quality. The whistle arrived in the U.S. within a week or so and boy, it does not disappoint. It's great! I have a hard time putting it down. The generation feels like a toy next to the Dixon. Thanks, McNeela's!”

“Fast service to Canadian west coast. The Tony Dixon whistle has a very sweet sound. Finger holes are a bit larger than my Clarke and will take a little getting used to.”
