“Having now carefully played-in this new flute I can say that it will be wonderful. The sound throughout is strong but sweet. The top notes just sing out without effort and the tuning is excellent. It is also easy to play quietly when required, e. g. in slow airs. Agility in faster dance music is also there with ease. The flute is beautifully made and feels comfortable in the hands and the price is very reasonable. The flute I have has no keys, which I prefer. My only very small personal concern is the large spacing on the bottom hand which forces me to use a piper's grip as I have small hands. I will get used to that. Apart from that, I'd recommend this maker's instruments to anyone of any standard.”

“A beautiful flute. Excellent rich mellow tone . Strong low D and quick response. If I cannot make beautiful music with it , it is due to my poor playing. I had a great experience with Paraic from Irish Musik who was extremely helpful . Go raibh mile maith agaibh go leir Paideen”

“I recently received the Arie De Keyzer Blackwood flute and it is excellent. Very well balanced and intonated. It produces a strong even tone but more importantly is very sweet. “Arie de Keiser African Blackwood Flute I was super excited to receive this flute, only to have to send it back. I needed the extra joint since my right ring finger could not easily reach the 3rd hole. The holes were larger as well, making it too difficult to properly seal. However it had a lovely upper tone, bright and clear..It would be perfect for someone with larger hands, longer fingers and larger finger pads.”
