Sold Out I started making these bones as practice bones using hard steel rosewood, but they have now evolved into session bones as they give great volume. They are shaped for the hand and are much easier to play than the real bones. They come with instructions on how to play them. “These are modified wide flat bones with a durable comfort grip. Flat bones tend to work best in the Southern US style for contact alignment, but these work very well in the Irish style. They are surprisingly versatile, with the narrowed grip allowing more control and comfort than traditional wide flat bones. Big plus, they don't slip while playing. I have large hands and they fit quite well. Not for young hands. Triplets and transitions are easier than with thin flat bones. The only tradeoff, they're not quite as fast. These are definitely my favorite flat bones.”

“Love Dem Bones! I'm very new with the bones, and have had a VERY hard time finding a set where I live (in Canada) so I ended up ordering these for cheaper than I would have found at a shop here. The shipping was as expected and in fact, faster than I would have imagined from Ireland - VERY happy with this purchase and with the quality of the bones. Thank you McNeela instruments!”
