We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of the debut album from the amazing trio Miscellany of Folk! Featuring 10 tracks, the trio effortlessly blends incredible traditional Irish-inspired melodies together with some stunning vocal harmonies to create a luscious combination of folk tunes. Miscellany of Folk was founded in 2022 by Billy Sutton, an incredible multi-instrumentalist from Newfoundland, Canada, the renowned accordionist maestro Benny McCarthy from Waterford, and the fantastic Eddie Costello, the lead vocalist and guitarist from Tipperary. All of these members are incredibly talented and are seasoned musicians in the world of folk music.
Inspired by the ancient folk sounds of Ireland, the band’s raw and earthy feel to their music gives them a unique flare and beauty. Each of these members are acclaimed musicians in their own right, having many critically acclaimed albums between them, drawing from their own personal musical influences and heritages. However, it is their close-knit style and their combined efforts that create a rich texture of sound that surely captivates anyone who hears it!
