“Bought a second bike and they refused to cover more than one bike. Said they don't do multi-bike policies. In the end, I had to cancel the insurance and move elsewhere. Twice had to phone to cancel policy. Two different staff members both with no interest who were distracted throughout the calls and couldn't string a sentence together. Both kept forgetting where they were in their pre-rehearsed scripts. Laughable.”

“I've insured two consecutive BMW R1150/1200GS bikes with BMW consecutively since 2002. When my renewal came in this year and was significantly higher than last year I thought I'd try MCN Compare. To my surprise (?) BMW insurance with identical cover to my existing policy came up significantly cheaper than my renewal quote. Other insurers were cheaper still, but I'd prefer not to change. I rang BMW and asked if they could match the quote I just got on MCN, without telling them that it was theirs I was referring to. The answer was that no they couldn't. They had already found me the cheapest quote. When I told them that it was the MCN/BMW quote I was asking them to match they changed my policy to the new one, wasted 1/2 hour of my time and theirs and I saved myself money. It's a crazy, stupid game! I know that we all know that, but the insistence in honesty in our declaration vs their bending of the rules in quotations seems like double standards.”

“They weren't the cheapest, but seemed to offer a good range of relevant benefits with reasonable policy conditions. The MCN comparison service is very useful, although I can do without the avalanche of spam emails I've been receiving since using the service. maybe the MCN service needs to consider how it uses the data submitted by users. I'd be happy to pay a small charge for the service rather than have my data used for open marketing purposes.”
