“I ordered my paint on the Wednesday,on next day delivery and did not arrive until Saturday rang them up on the Friday and was just given bullshit said computers were down and would ring me back still waiting for the call”

“Order was placed and payment taken but no goods sent. Emails queries were ignored and eventually, after 5 days of no progress, I had to use the Paypal dispute system to get my money back. No apologies or explanation given. My experience of Maxwells DIY is entirely negative.”

“No email to say when goods were to be delivered. Luckily we were home when part of the order arrived. Sent all needed to fix guttering except the gutter! They could not get the guttering in the size they had advertised. Customer service was ok however she did not call back to let us know what was happening. We called next day we were then told guttering and roof felt would be delivered that day. Sorry but we will not be ordering again.”

“I ordered the products on a "next working day delivery" and after 7 days have still not received the delivery. I used Maxwells because of the apparent shorter lead time. I will not use them again.”

“I ordered garden paint and paid extra for a "named day delivery" day. I waited in all day and the paint didn't arrive. I called Maxwells and left a message but did not receive a call back. I called again the next day and was promised a call back to confirm when the paint would be delivered but I never got a call back. The paint eventually arrived . It was in a plastic bag inside a box. The lid was off, the tin was dented and paint was running inside the bag and on the tin. I emailed Maxwells and sent photos but to date haven't received a reply. Not a great experience for a new customer.”

“Ordered 7 items, 5 pieces of timber & 2 MDF boards, the MDF was fine but the boards were terrible, completely twisted and not straight at all, they were so bad I had to take them into my local store where even the manager said they were "Disgraceful and obviously not from his store" The stuff did arrive when it was suppose to but wont be using the service again as obviously just sent stuff that wasnt fit for store purpose.”
