“Sowed in the Spring under a hedge. In spite of watering no result. Not sure if sowing in the Autumn might be better? I appreciated the reply and explanation which fills me with new hope!”

Thank you for your review. The reason why there were no flowers this summer is that there are only perennial species included in the shaded areas mix. Perennial species do not flower in the same year as they are planted, they begin flowering from year 2 and then return year after year. (in contrast, annual species bloom 8-10 weeks after they are planted, however they do not return again. We do not include annuals in the shaded areas mix as they do not grow in shade)

“I bought these along with the full shade seeds and mixed them. They have germinated well but have yet to flower - looking forward to next year when they are more mature and hopefully will have had more sun than this year.”
