My little meadow was beautiful this year after last year's thick rank grass, and I will sow more yellow rattle this year to be sure. Lot of fine grasses grew and the colours from the meadow mix were just what I wanted. Thank you,

Had a couple of failures and this was my last attempt. Scalped the grass with my mower on its lowest setting (it looked terrible) sowed the rattle seed onto bare patches I'd roughed up with a hand fork and then put the mower's roller over the area to ensure the seeds had contact with the earth This year I continued to cut the grass relatively short until the end of November to ensure seedlings weren't crowded out, and have consequently had really good germination. I've collected some seeds and let others drop and plan to repeat the process at the end of August. One of the trickiest plants I've tried to grow.

We bought yellow rattle 2 years running for our large wildflower meadow areas within a sizeable garden. 2 years on after scarifying and rescattering harvested seed from flowers grown from Meadowmania’s original seed we now have a really well established yellow rattle meadow that keeps the grasses down, allows lots of other wildflowers and my planted cosmos & ammi seedlings to thrive and provides us with our own seed. I’ve just spent the last 2 days harvesting yellow rattle seed but we still have hundreds of flowers growing at different stages keeping the grass down. Thank you Meadowmania!

Brilliant; it was very effective at tackling the tough grass in the garden. My attempt at a meadow in a small triangle of the garden is looking good. I'm going to plant more Yellow Rattle in the Autumn.

The Yellow Rattle seeds i scattered are all up & flowering nicely. Just a tip for those who have issues with getting the seeds to germinate in the area to be grown. Scarify the area really well & spike are with a fork prior to sowing / scattering seeds. Then rake over well, Water well & leave alone & watch them grow when the time is right. REMEMBER, Yellow Rattle seeds need to be in close contact with grass roots for them to succeed as the plant is parrasitic & relies on grass roots to survive.
