“Narcissus pseudonarcissus are lovely little wild flowers, so we planted 1,000 in our meadow. We knew that flowering would be light in their first, maybe even second year. But it's been a disappointment not to have had one single flower, indeed even an unpredictable showing of the leaves themselves. I was surprised how very deep the recommendation was to plant them, compared with the norm of 2.5 times the size of a bulb, but we did what we were told, and assume that most of their energy was spent reaching the surface of the ground. We had inteded to plant another 1,000m next autumn but will now wait until next year to see if flowers start to appear in their second year. By comparison the 250 snakeshead fritillaries we also bought and planted amongst them have been delightful.”

“These seemed to arrive in a poor condition - about 10% were essentially rotten - I was reassured the rest will be OK - I was sent replacements for the rotten ones. These were not cheap bulbs - Fingers crossed they all come up in the spring - If they dont I will be3 looking for a refund.”
