I bought these to put on a section of a steep bank outside a floor to ceiling window in my kitchen. I was desperate to have some colourful plants rather than just weeds in my view, but it is not possible to plant anything into the slope as it is too steep. So, I literally just threw the seeds onto the bank and hoped for the best. I didnt think anything was going to come of it, but about four weeks later I had the start of what turned out to be an absolutely magnigficent and gorgeous display of wild flowers ALL summer. I am so pleased with them I will 100 per cent be doing the same thing next spring along the whole length of the bank, because they were just so beautiful.

The wildflowers have been absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be repeating this next year with a bit of tweaking as I think I sowed it a bit too thickly. Live and learn though. Can’t decide whether to cut it in autumn and re sow then or wait till spring.

Despite sowing correctly, the seeds failed to geminate, with the exception of one or two poppys. Disappointed overall.

Planted these in Spring in a section of poor soil. The results are incredible. I have at least 10 varieties of flowers already, it is far more than what I was expecting. They also seem to be dominating over the dock leaf infestation I have in my current garden. Looking forward to planting some more in autumn and seeing the results next year. I can’t recommend these highly enough, and I wish I could add a photo!
