“I am lucky enough to own a few fantastic Marloe watches. The Daytimer - Madainn is my most recent watch which I have been wearing for about one year now.
I was struck by the pocket watch inspired old time look and chose the Italian Monteverdi Grey Thor Leather strap as I felt it would suit the classic look of the Madainn.
Marloe correctly describe the "excellent readability in any light", but oh my, this is also a beautiful watch in any light. The textured face sings and glistens in bright sunlight. The gentle slope inwards of the minute marks are another thing that beautifully catch even low light to add shine and depth.
Speaking of light, the BGW9 SuperLuminova on the hands and dial marks does not need much light to charge it, though of course bright sunshine will really set it off. High performing luminence like this takes me back to my schoolboy fascination and delight with such glow in the dark items.
I don't have a large wrist but the Daytimer sits very comfortably. The rounded lugs help with the easy wearability while also adding to the old time style.”
“Received my watch a week ago & am in love with it!!!! The dial is stunning with it's subtle texture changes & touches of colour (the bronze chamfer sets off the whole watch) & gets a lot of positive comments.
The watch is a perfect daily wear, with it's timeless good looks, legible lune, robust build (10atm & sturdy stainless steel case) & comfortable size.
The manual wind movement is fantastic & is keeping time wonderfully, with minimal loss/gain. I was sceptical of not getting an automatic, however winding the movement daily is a pleasure & I love listening to it. There is a sense of calm everytime I pick it up in the morning.
The caseback shows off the beautiful movement & really allows for an appreciation of the piece as a whole.
Also with the interchangable straps, you can dress it up & down for every occasion. I am generally rocking an outdoor/surf look, but it still works with what I wear (would recommend the Nytech Navy strap).
I wanted a timeless, robust watch that one day my children might want to wear & I feel that Marloe have created an excellent heirloom piece.
Purchasing the piece was amazing - I received it within 24hrs of ordering! Also, customer service was next level....I had a lot of questions regarding the technical aspects of the watch & Oliver dutifully answered them all promptly & in-depth (even on the weekend!).
So all in all the watch is amazing & I would highly recommend using the Marloe Watch Company to anybody who was looking for a top quality time piece!”
