“These self-test emergency bulkheads are much brighter than the flourescents they replaced and therefore much better for their intended function, fitted in non-maintained mode. You'll need a hole borer to cut the wire access in the back/underside of the unit. For some reason, there is no access hole, and no push-outs. Also, the instruction sheet mentions none of the useful stuff you'll need to know, like how to install in non-maintained mode (googling revealed you simply remove the wire connectiing L and L1).”
