“There was one difficulty with one of the fittings: One of the wires was accidentally gripped by the mounting screw, causing a short which burned out one of the ballasts. You may say the electrician was at fault. However, all the wires are white, as is the metal casing and this was part of the cause since the white wires blend in with the colour of the casing. Searching for fittings, I have seen that many ballasts have wires of various colours which must be a help in many ways. Any chance of a good-will replacement for one of the fittings?
