amazed they still made this model, we had one fitted in 2011 and it was excellent. The unit failed recently and the electrician recommended we replace it .....so sourced an new identical unit and fitted it .... existing supply and mounting holes exactly the same so job done. Great mirror light at a good price compared the the LED versions elsewhere.

As described, the power socket does work with the light switched off and is suitable for recharging a toothbrush. The disadvantage is a continuous faint humming noise from the transformer. I put the toothbrush and charger on the top of the mirror but it is not really designed for it. There are two separate sockets, one for 220v and one for 110v. It is possible to charge two devices at the same time if one works at 110v. My Braun toothbrush requires 220v but I cannot find the voltage rating for my Phillips rechargeable shaver so will just use the 220v socket.

Most impressed, would have liked, though, more cable access points - I had to drill a hole to enable access for the incoming cable, however, that not withstanding, I think it represents very good value.

Amazed to find the mirror is now half the size of the ones we bought previously. I shall check the measurements next time.
