Perhaps this is in keeping with the competition, but I do feel a lower price would have been more appealing to make me return in the future.”

Really appreciate your comments on the quality, our pizza journey started last year and we set the business up on the premise of making wood fired cooking easier for everyone, with the highest quality of products.
As a British producer, our margins are low when compared to Eastern European imports so there are always going to be cheaper alternatives out there - while we want to offer good value, we're not trying to be the cheapest, more-so we're trying to offer the. best all round experience while running our business in a sustainable and ethical way. That said, we never want anyone to feel ripped off or let down by the price!
We price all our products based on the production, packaging and shipping costs of the product rather than comparing to the market prices from other producers, but I have just double checked all the specialist wood available for Dome in the UK and I can't see anyone selling such specialist logs at better prices than us:

Hopefully this at least helps you understand we are not trying to rip anyone off, both the Dome logs and the oak kindling are very labour-intensive to produce compared to normal firewood logs. Those that want better value from their firewood tend to buy full size logs and use a saw and hatchet to cut then down - I used to hate having to do this, which is why I had the idea to start the business!
I'll take a look at the make-up of the fuel kit and see if there's anything we can do to increase the amount of firelighters and kindling, but unfortunately as we aren't making very high margins, the chances are it will have an impact on the make-up of the product - more kindling might mean less full size logs, for example.
