Hi Freya, Sorry that we missed this review at the time! Fire pits do tend to take quite a lot of wood, but yours looks very open from the bottom which will allow lots of airflow and cause the wood to burn faster - a solid firepit will use much less wood, and will also retain heat to keep you warmer :) Paul
