It really is the cheapest we could make this - to note it's not plastic (absolutely not plastic!) but instead is made from 97% renewable raw materials, including sugar cane & corn, creating a bioplastic which is 100% recyclable. Unfortunately these processes don't come cheap... but there are other plusses - the carbon footprint is 3.9% during production so that price has gone a little way in being a better product for the planet - a huge thank you for letting us be able to flag this!
