I was looking for new TP link switch and had my eyes long time on this one. But many things came between the actual purchase for some time. One afternoon late I was just browsing for it and LinItx came up in the search and saw the price was good and I immediately took the plunge for it. It was kind of late for next day delivery and it had just past the deadline for it. Surprisingly LinItx still managed it to get out the door for next day delivery. I was very happy that they did this. Well done. Hence the 5 stars for LinItx, which managed the delivery very well packaged in a proper sturdy box to protect it at our premises with a very good logistic delivery update process. This was excellent. The TP-LINK 3428X out of the box is very easy to install and added to the existing network. But then again I have been using TP-link for years which helps too. The switch has lots of options and settings. Including Level 2 settings and 3 DHCP server. Amazing and without noisy dusty fans and not too hot as well. Very recommended as a good Switch for a good price and also lifetime warranty from TP-LINK on it as well. If you are looking for a good affordable well designed managed sturdy switch, the TP-Link 3428X is your choice. Don't hesitate to buy, you will not be disappointed and thanks to LinItx and their team who was able to deliver it so quickly. There is one thing that I did not get working well which was the Omada Software from TP-LINK and it made also the switch only usable for more like statistics observation and limited access but one advantage of the software is remote access (I have not tried). I could not get inside the switch to change things in the deeper settings with this Omada software. It will not allow you to do this or I just was not able to see all the options for it or maybe could not find it. If you want to access all the deeper settings again you have to remove it from the Omada software setup which will reset the switch to Factory settings again. There is no other way around that as far as I have seen. Or you have to use the service port or Telnet/or PuTTY with USB cable if you can't access it to reset it. Not for novices this is because there is no reset button on it either. I guess this is for security reasons. This is OK if you have a DHCP server with DHCP binding set, because after the reset you can access the firmware again with the same IP address you had set in the DHCP binding Server and can set all the settings quickly again or just restore the settings with a backup file. Overall a very good Managed Switch to have.
