“Sensor works well, but would benefit from longer leads”

“I bought the dusk to dawn sensor on the understanding that all of the lights would automatically come on when it was dark and go off when it was light. Having attached one of the sensor cables as per the instructions on the first connector of the lighting cable I attached a light to the other. I had already plugged in the remaining lights onto the lighting cable and switched them on. All of the lights were lit up except the one attatched to the sensor which was not what I expected. I then decided to try the sensor on the last connector, switched on and the same thing happened. I have made contact with the company about the problem on their chat line but could not get a positive answer from the operator. She said she would email me the next day and as yet still no response. The after sales from the company leaves a lot to be desired. Until I get a positive outcome I would not recommend buying the sensor.”

“Absolutely useless item which doesn't work from 12v DC source. The website didn't specify the input current which is 12v AC. It means the sendor needs a special power supply. Waste of money”

“Fine, when it works. No way of adjusting the sensitivity. And no way of telling it to switch off after a few hours. We are now looking at replacing it with an IP-rated time switch - not easy! (this fits between the transformer and the LEDs, so the trx is 'always on', not environmentally acceptable these days).”
