The Claire single light outdoor wall fitting features a die-cast aluminium rectangular frame in anthracite finish with clear glass panes and PIR motion sensor. This modern lantern style light has a truly contemporary look and is great for modern outdoor spaces, providing warm illumination at night. The discreet PIR movement sensor on the base has an 8 metre and 100° detection range and the time duration can be adjusted between 5 seconds and 8 minutes. “Pros: I am really pleased with the way they look; the build quality and materials are great. Cons: It is not possible to change the duration settings without taking the unit apart. There does not seem to be a switch flicking combination to put the light on continuously.”

“As stylish in the flesh as the photos and solidly made. Light has a quality feel. Time will tell how well it weathers. I was surprised that the glass enclosure has no glass in the bottom and for 1 to 2cm at all edges. Could prove to be a home for the local insect life! Because glass is open, unit seals to base of bulb, making it difficult to judge how hard to screw bulb in. Unit was difficult to fit as you mount backing plate to wall & then screw connect 4 short wires whilst having to hold glass enclosure in place - tricky and nervous times even with 2 people! Would have been so much easier if you could plug wires in instead. PS Make sure you reset dip switches BEFORE you mount or you will have to do it twice - as I had to! Default setting of 5 seconds 'on' is useless.”

“Great lamp very good build quality. We do have to say though following connection the lamp did not light. After nearly a day trying to trace where the fault lies eventually it was traced to the bulb not being screwed down sufficiently to make contact. There is a rubber seal on the top of the socket which is compressed whilst screwing in the bulb. Screwing in the bulb tight until you don’t want to turn it any further without risking breaking the bulb, the bulb does not connect. You have to keep turning it (it is very tight at this stage) further until the bulb eventually lights. Hope this helps”
