“This is an attractive, good quality fitting however in my view there are some drawbacks. First there is very little space in the fitting to accommodate the supply cables and the terminal box is very small - practically unusable for a typical 1.00mm T&E cable. I had to substitute this for small Wago connectors and then use a silicon sealant to preserve the IP rating for use outside. Second, unless you are installing on a surface providing a rear cable entry to the fitting it is difficult to install as there is no provision for either top or side cable entry.”
