“The finish and appearance look fine but the instructions gave no indication that the spikes were stored inside the light tube and how to get them out and fit them. So I had to contact the vendor to ask where the spikes were and their advice was not correct either. The top of the tube just below the clear section has to be twisted off and the spike pulled out from inside and then plugged into the base.”

Thank you for getting in touch. We have a range of similar solar lights with the spikes stored within the tubes for transit purposes. Some are accessed via twisting off the bottom of the tube and some via twisting off just under the top of the light. We in error advised the wrong area on this light to twist off to access the spikes. We made a slight mistake. Pleased to say difficulty accessing the spikes is not usually a "negative" we hear about our solar lights - in the main it is how lovely they are and how they enhance a garden. “Really nice warm light, looks great. It comes on at dusk on a low light and brightens once PIR activates for 40 seconds. Fingers crossed it will still work, over Autumn and winter now the darker nights are fast approaching.”
