“I ordered 4, one was broken and the other three did not work. Packaging was poor. They sent another lot promising better packaging. Two worked, two did not, packaging was not upgraded. Two more arrived today. Some extra packaging but not at the ends of the tubes only round the sides ---- one works and the other does not. So in three deliveries I have had 10 tubes and only three work.”

“Certainly as bright as the 58W fluorescent warm white tube it replaced, maybe a whisker brighter. Instant 'on' and no flickering. Instructions aren't as clear as they should be for a consumer product but I opted to leave the existing magnetic ballast in place and removed the parallel capacitor to keep rewiring to a minimum. I did consider buying a new fitting designed for LED tubes but belatedly discovered most come with tubes which would have rendered my purchase surplus to requirements. (Indeed it would seem that in some LED tube fittings that include a tube, the tube is not replaceable). The longevity of the Crompton product is something only time will tell.”

“Replacement for a standard fluorescent tube - very easy to fit. The light from the "warm white" tube is very slightly "warmer" in tone than the fluorescent tube it replaced - more towards the red end of the spectrum than the blue end. A higher K tube would have produced a "whiter" light but in my application the warmer tone is about right.”
