This special purpose 15W 12” BL368 blacklight UV-A T5 tube light bulb is most commonly found in insect traps/fly killers but also enjoys numerous spin-off applications in other commercial industries as well.Recent improvements in phosphor technology have led to a new generation of UV-A lamps with much-improved insect attraction efficiency. This range, called BL368, is a premium high-performance range.The energy distribution of the BL368 lamp is a much narrower band concentrated around the spectral peak at 368nm. This is widely accepted as the most important frequency for the attraction of flying insects. The radiation at 368nm is twice as powerful as from BL350 tubes, and because of this, the lamp attracts more insects.Besides insect trapping, these lamps are widely used in a variety of specialized applications, including Diazo printing machines, cosmetic nail curing, chemical processing, photopolymerization, the manufacture of printed circuit boards and dental prosthetics, tempering and curing of photosensitive materials, mineral detection, fluorescent excitation for scientific and forensic investigations, testing of banknotes and credit cards, and terrarium illumination.This 12“ T5 tube is fitted with standard G5 2-pin (5mm apart) caps to both ends.This T5 Tube is a newer product from Osram and supersedes their old T5 Tube part codes: F15W/T5/BL368.This is a special purpose lamp that emits UV-A radiation and is not suitable for general household illumination.Need more help in choosing a suitable ultraviolet light bulb or tube?
