As a small business, we invest a lot of time and effort into our advent calendars, some of the items are hand-made in our workshop in Sheffield and every item is individually wrapped by a member of our team. “Looked lovely and I have enjoyed unwrapping the daily parcels however the contents are not worth anywhere near the price I paid so poor value for money. Disappointing.”

Dear Ruth, Thank you for taking the time to give feedback about the advent calendar. We are really sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with this. As a small business, we invest a lot of time and effort into our advent calendars so are really disappointed to hear you were not happy. Some items are hand-made in our workshop in Sheffield and every item is individaully wrapped by a member of our team. We even design and print our own wrapping paper. It’s a process that takes our small team weeks and a great deal of care goes into them. The value of all the individual items together is always more than the price charged for the advent calendar and we work hard to keep the price as low as possible given the labour involved in them. Items in the 2025 advent calendar included: a silk eye mask & pouch, a pair of knitted socks, boxed incense sticks, ceramic incense holder, large jar of luxury bath salts, hand-made gemstone bracelet & an amber glass jar candle as well as various luxury chocolates, glass tealights and skincare products. I have had a look through our emails to see if you had contacted us with any particular issues with the advent calendar but couldn’t see any communication prior to this review. We would be keen to learn more about your views as to why you thought it was poor value for money and didn’t meet your expectations.
