“Quite heavy (solid) and puts out a serious beam of light on the high setting. However, I found that in the review there are 3 outputs, but in fact there are only two, which is a bit disappointing. On high power, the lighting power is fantastic, but it drains quite quickly; it lasts better on the lower power setting, but one of the reasons I bought it was to take it on a week long trek (Cumbria way) and I now have doubts about its stamina or at least how many batteries I'll need. Maybe a smaller 200-250 lumen torch (with a 50 lumen low power setting) would have been a better choice?”

“My old P17 was replaced recently by LEDCO UK after it developed a fault in it's 5th year of use. The torch had performed flawlessly throughout that period including a 3 month extended period in North Luwangwa National Park Zambia, and numerous bush experiences in Kenya over that period. LEDCO's customer service and professional response in support of the LED Lenser was 2nd to none and I would have no hesitation in recommending their products having owned both P17 and P5's.”

“You simply cannot get better for his sort of money.....it's my third. I now buy them as gifts. A torch is often something you need when something else has gone wrong, owning a cheap torch is a false economy. Power and reliability is what you need AND ......what you get with these torches.”

“Having had a lenser for a few years, I decided to add a bigger cannon to my arsenal. Unfortunately I just expected a bit more for the size/money differrence. It is ok... but just ok. I've seen an alternative brand now packing 900+ lumens from a very similar design of torch so interested to see if that does anymore.”
