“Excellent torch, brighter than expected, I don't even use the brightest setting for my use (vehicle inspections). I haven't tested out battery life fully but I think I'll get three 8 hour shifts out of it easily enough, maybe more. Very robust build, the focus mechanism included, I'm going to get years out of this one.”

“I bought this as backup to my larger led lensers for mammal spotlighting and due to a battery miscalculation on the bigger torches found I had to use the MT14 a lot. Great little torch - light doesn't throw quite so far as the bigger torches but its still good and gives a clear bright light, the battery lasts well and though the light on the strongest beam dips slightly after a few minutes it regains full beam merely by switching off for a couple of seconds. Sure i'll use this torch a lot.”

“Whilst there is no doubt that this is a well made and bright torch it's performance is not worth the extra cost over and above other torches in this range. I bought this torch on the advice that it would give me twice the brightness and 100m longer beam length than my LED lenser P7.2. When you first switch the torch on it is super bright and just what I wanted but it then noticeably dims within 60 seconds of use on full beam. The torch is still pretty bright but in 45 minutes of full beam use the brightness continues to diminish. The reason for this is that on full beam the torch cannot be used for any length of time without the torch overheating so a safety mechanism dims the torch to protect it and the user. The advice I was given was to use the torch on economy beam where the torch is much less bright but the brightness will be maintained over a longer period. However in this mode the torch is no brighter than my P7.2 which is around £50 cheaper. As regards beam lengths, there is no discernible difference between the 2 torches although the MT 14 beam end diameter is larger. So my advice is go for the P 7.2 and save the extra cash.”

“The torch is excellent and well made, but it does not come with a charger!!!!!!! what are they thinking???? Luckily I have two other models that do come with chargers. But a over a hundred pounds for a torch and no charger, well that buggers belief.”
