The Gunpowder Plot Immersive Experience Reviews

4.6 Rating 2,236 Reviews
This is a 'must see' attraction. I loved every second. The characters were believable, the 'set' authentic and the VR was out if this world. I was totally transported. The nearest thing you can get to time travel.

The Gunpowder Plot Experience was superb,a wonderful historic presentation with skilled actors.I am already praising this to my friends. Also thouroughly enjoyed the burger, chips and coleslaw and it’s a 10 for your superb Guinness.

Very confusing but overall very good. They need to sort the system out a bit. The lockers have no explanation and many don’t work. The lights to announce that it is your turn to enter are confusing. Most people around us were also confused. The experience however is well worth it and I would recommend it. Great fun and value for money.

Really good experience, we had a meal and a drink which we booked when our tickets were purchased. Good choice on the menu and the food was very nice, get there 45 minutes before your time slot to allow you to enjoy the meal without rushing. The actors were excellent and made you feel part of the gunpowder plot. VR special effects took you back to 1605 it was a real attack on the senses. Make sure this is the one thing you do this year.

It was a bit too long and too much standing for people with, say, back problems. There were several points where seating could have been provided without spoiling the experience. Also the ‘tavern break’ in the middle was confusing. I’d locked away my handbag including phone, as instructed, so couldn’t buy any of the overpriced refreshments.

Great way to spend a couple of hours and up to their high standards of other production

Absolutely loved the experience and would recommend it highly. The staff were all friendly and professional, actors included (as appropriate to their roles). I really enjoyed the VR aspect, although it did make me feel a little sick. I think I would have preferred the on water and subsequent flying over London to be separated. My one real criticism is that because you have to put bags etc into lockers before you enter the experience most people didn't have any way of buying a drink during the interval and at the end had to go back to lockers to get money for anything in the gift shop. The gift shop is overpriced: £10 for a box of matches is ridiculous!
